Today I made a video for my online workshops about value studies. I continued afterward with this small still life painting. It's been a while since I've done a still life and I love painting onions, such wonderful colors. I kept the colors all cool to contrast against the warmths of the onion.
I also got the great news today that I am invited to the 2012 Telluride Plein Air Event in July. This is one that is really exciting for me.

J'admire la lumière qui jaillit dans cette toile... et qui apporte un grand contraste.
Belle composition.
Toutes mes félicitations pour cette participation à cet évènement.
Gros bisous
Thank you Martine. I always appreciate your comments.
Hi Becky! Congrats! We visited Telluride last summer. It is very, very beautiful. Apparently, the local people will house the artists in exchange for a painting! We visited our friends there, I wonder if they will be home then....
Hi Carolyn, How are you? I love it up there. I'm going to request housing just in case... Mike's sister lives up there, but hard to say if they will be in town the whole time. It is wonderful up there. Love it. whenever I've stayed with a family I always give them a painting, a good deal for everyone.
Not used to seeing a still life from you, love the contrast of the warm and cool. Congrats on your upcoming Telluride show, as well as the PASW here in Dallas in April. Hope to see you there!
This is lovely becky. I love how you handled the blue cup. It has an old fell about it. Very nice.
Thank you Ann and Susan. I used to do more still lifes. It's been a while, too long.
Ann, that would be great to meet you. I'm hoping to get to Dallas. My son lives in Austin and I usually go for a week at that time of year. It's a little busy for me then and I'm not sure if I should take the time right then.
